More than a tradition, a way of life.

Porto Alegre, July 1st, 2014.

The churrasco de chão is the original Rio Grande Do Sul barbecue. The meat was cooked for more than 12 hours by a fireplace directly made on the ground. Nowadays, the churrasco is adapted to the size of houses and apartments, it is smaller and vertical, and the hurry life. On some special occassions, people from the Porto Alegre region meet together around the original churrasco de chão.

Meanwhile one thing did not change all these centuries, the quality of the meat. Red meat in Rio Grande Do Sul is always tasteful and delicious. This is due to the livestock farming. Beasts are respected and grow in vast and open. No intensive farming here, or so few.
