
A typical south Brazilian sweet prepared to share moments with family and friends.

Ingredients :

10 g of baking powder

100 g of butter
-
100 cl of milk

3 table spoons of white sugar

1 table spoon of salt

3 eggs
-
1 kg of flour
Recipe :

Put the baking powder, small cubes of butter, hot but not boiled milk, sugar and the salt.

Mix everything with a wooden spoon.

Add the eggs and mix again.

Wait until the batter becomes yellow because of the butter.

Add the flour and mix quickly.

Once the batter is compact place it on a floured work surface.

Work the batter into hands making a ball. Don’t hesitate to add flour if the batter becomes too sticky. Keep working it until it becomes elastic.

Put the batter in a floured bowl and cover with a towel. Let it sit for an hour. The batter should double in volume.

Place the batter on a floured work surface and spread it out.

Spread the topping of your choice on it. It can be dulce de leite or guava marmalade or liquid chocolate.

Wrap the batter around itself and place in the buttered baking tin.

Bake in a 220° C oven for 40 mins.
