Porto Alegre, July 13th, 2014. The non-profit organization asked exchange students from 12 different countries to share their cultures with porto-alegrenses at an activity filled with music, food and souvenirs from countries all over the world.

The event called , Global Village, offered interaction with cultures from countries like Guatemala, Argentina, Mexico, Tunisia , Germany, Poland, Canada, England, China, Switzerland, Francia, and Ecuador.

The gathering was held at the ESL (english as a second language) school, Quatrum, to show kids how to interact with foreigners and at the same time practice their level of english.

Louise Carvalho, the event organizer, commented that, “ the Gobal Village shows the kids that we can live together with different cultures and language is not a barrier”.

This is the first Global Village activity that AIESEC organizes in Porto Alegre this year but they hope to have one each semester.
